Santorini is a volcanic island in the southern part of the Aegean Sea around 120 miles from Greek’s mainland. The Minoans settled in the city as early as 3000 b.C  and evidence of their lives, remarkably well-preserved in frescoes, pottery, furniture, drainage systems and ruins – are exposed in the archeological site of Akrotiri. Greek-native photographer George Lakis knows this island like the palm of his hand – follow him and you will have your own Greek treasure saved as a collection of pictures, including your own shots of the whitewashed traditional homes against the incredibly blue waters of the Aegean sea.
